ICPA Conference 2021
Monday 31st May to Thursday 3rd June 2021
CUNNAMULLA CONFERENCE 2021
The Cunnamulla Branch of the Isolated Childrens’ Parents’ Association was the first ICPA branch established in Queensland in 1971 and we are privileged and excited to now be hosting the 50th State Conference of the Queensland ICPA which will also celebrate 50 years of ICPA in Queensland.
ICPA will be celebrating all things ICPA and the charter for equality which we stand for. The main message is, anyone living in an isolated or remote area, in a small town, out of a town, with children at school, with babies at home, with children attending a play group, or a day care centre, or going to the local school via bus, car or on foot, attending boarding school a thousand miles away or doing a traineeship down the street from their home, attending university – WE are all ICPA.
ICPA represents all of our interests at a state and federal level and is the front line for bush families – it’s a direct and strong link between remote residents and the decision makers in Queensland. It is at our State Conference that the association comes together and puts forward motions for change.
The conference will take place from the 31st of May 2021 to the 2nd of June 2021 and consists of 2 days of the formal meeting of the association, a welcome dinner, formal conference dinner, a farewell dinner as well as a reunion event. It is attended by delegates and visitors from branches all over the state, government ministers, boarding school representatives, tertiary and training institutes, sponsors, and members of the press.
